Wild Flowers in the Cover Crops
Artist: Stuart James Fraser.
Medium : Oils on Canvas
Size: 50 x 60cm
The painting is framed in a high quality white moulding of approximately 10cm - making the overall size with frame 78 x 68cm
Large areas of beans used for cover crops on the pheasant Shoot above the village of Great Corby, were simply bursting with all manner of wild flowers, and blooms of the cover crops themselves.
Light was pouring through the gaps highlighting the flowers of soft light, this was the attraction for this painting in oils.
Not my usual subject but something about the scene made me want to paint it, of course I never made any attempt to paint particular flowers in details, that is not me, I stick to impressions.
